We've all heard various jokes about "Why did the chicken cross the road?" but I've yet to hear something mentioned about tortoises crossing the road. As I was on my way to Johor/Singapore today,I was looking out the car window and there was a tortoise in the middle of the road. A tortoise!! I've heard of elephant, deer and cow crossings but tortoises? I hope the poor thing did not get squashed by a speeding car.
