Leaving On A Jet Plane

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go...

If things went as planned, I would be singing this song right now at KLIA. I was supposed to leave for Canada right this very day at this very time. It's funny how sometimes things don't turn out the way you want them to. But then again, God knows what's best, especially for me...perhaps I probably could fare better in America. I have yet to send my completed application but it should be done by the end of next week. And hopefully, I'll be singing along to Chantal Kreviazuk at the end of the year...
